2012. aasta lühikokkuvõte

Lejal Genes, Lejal Globe ja Lejal’Nyte jaoks oli 2012. aasta tegus, nagu ikka. Tegime mõningase valiku aasta jooksul toimunud märkimisväärsematest sündmustest, hetkedest, faktidest ja jagame seda aasta viimasel päeval kõigiga. Võimalik, et päeva peale meenub veel midagi olulist – eks siis lisame selle vastavalt. Meeldivat aastalõppu kõigile!

Jaanuar
– Lejal’Nyte raadiosaade liitus legendaarse bassimuusika jaamaga Sub FM.

Märts

Superskankers is a dubstep project (established in 2011) by two guys from Tartu, Estonia. They have played alongside Coki, Newham Generals, Joker, Netsky, Camo & Krooked, Dream, Stinkahbell, KGB, Von D, Dodge & Fuski, Sub Focus, Subscape, Emalkay and many others.

Their debut single “Overdoze” (including remixes by WECAN, KGB and Stinkahbell) has already been supported by Skream & Benga, KGB, Stinkahbell and many others.

WHA!? 2012 uue muusika ja kultuuri festival Rakveres 9.11.2012

9.novembril taassünnib Rakveres WHA!? uue muusika ja kultuuri festival. Eelmise festivali toimumisest on möödas mõned aastad ning selle aja sees on kohalikul ja maailma moodsa kultuuri maastikel toimunud põnevad arengud, mida festival 2012. aastal taas Rakvere publikuni toob. Seekordne WHA!? on järjekorras kuues, eelmised viis toimusid Rakvere Teatris aastatel 2003-2007.

Festivaliga tähistatakse 15 aasta möödumist Rakvere ja Lääne-Viru päritolu moodsat muusikat toetava ning levitava plaadimärgi Lejal Genes esimese CD väljaande “Higha Collection 1” ilmumisest. Selle puhul esitleb Lejal Genes uut kogumikku “Higha Collection 7″, mis sisaldab ligi 80 minutit uut kohalikku tulevikku vaatavat muusikat. Värske kogumik on festivalil saadaval tutvumishinnaga.

Samuti esitleb samal õhtul värskeid plaate Lejal Globe plaadimärk. Oma debüütsingli “Overdoze” ilmumist tähistab Tartu dubstep-projekt Superskankers, lisaks tutvustab peagi väljuvat EPd Eesti legendaarne elektroonik Out-Or. Oma uuemat loomingut tutvustavad ka Rakvere produtsendid Jeffy Diamond, Stray Dog, Leiner, Gee ja teised.

Kuid see pole veel kõik – festivalil tutvustab äsja Legendaarne plaadimärgi poolt avaldatud albumit “Brodmani 14” Saaremaalt pärit räppar Okym Riim, kellega jagavad lava kohalikud rühmitused Def Räädu, Vesikas & Fofkin, Grässhopas, Öökülm, Culpas ja teised. Kokku astub 9.novembri õhtul Rakvere Teatris publiku ette üle 20 artisti.
