WHA!? 2012 uue muusika ja kultuuri festival Rakveres 9.11.2012

9.novembril taassünnib Rakveres WHA!? uue muusika ja kultuuri festival. Eelmise festivali toimumisest on möödas mõned aastad ning selle aja sees on kohalikul ja maailma moodsa kultuuri maastikel toimunud põnevad arengud, mida festival 2012. aastal taas Rakvere publikuni toob. Seekordne WHA!? on järjekorras kuues, eelmised viis toimusid Rakvere Teatris aastatel 2003-2007.

Festivaliga tähistatakse 15 aasta möödumist Rakvere ja Lääne-Viru päritolu moodsat muusikat toetava ning levitava plaadimärgi Lejal Genes esimese CD väljaande “Higha Collection 1” ilmumisest. Selle puhul esitleb Lejal Genes uut kogumikku “Higha Collection 7″, mis sisaldab ligi 80 minutit uut kohalikku tulevikku vaatavat muusikat. Värske kogumik on festivalil saadaval tutvumishinnaga.

Samuti esitleb samal õhtul värskeid plaate Lejal Globe plaadimärk. Oma debüütsingli “Overdoze” ilmumist tähistab Tartu dubstep-projekt Superskankers, lisaks tutvustab peagi väljuvat EPd Eesti legendaarne elektroonik Out-Or. Oma uuemat loomingut tutvustavad ka Rakvere produtsendid Jeffy Diamond, Stray Dog, Leiner, Gee ja teised.

Kuid see pole veel kõik – festivalil tutvustab äsja Legendaarne plaadimärgi poolt avaldatud albumit “Brodmani 14” Saaremaalt pärit räppar Okym Riim, kellega jagavad lava kohalikud rühmitused Def Räädu, Vesikas & Fofkin, Grässhopas, Öökülm, Culpas ja teised. Kokku astub 9.novembri õhtul Rakvere Teatris publiku ette üle 20 artisti.

Festivali piletid on 4.novembri õhtuni saadaval 8 euroga veebipoes http://shop.lejalgenes.ee. Kohapeal on pilet Facebook’is registreerunutele 10 eurot (going list), ilma listita 15 eurot.

Tap it Music Pad is an usb powered musical controller that anyone can use to make music. With the accompanying easy-to-use and intuitive software you can use it either as a musical instrument (50+ instrument sounds included, expandable) or a controller to make your own track, beat, song or however you want to call it.  Being our first hardware + software project we need some external help to raise the funds needed to launch with the product. Rakveres tegutsev muusika- ja audioprogramme arendav idufirma Gut Groove Labs on valmis saanud oma esimeste programmidega. Lisaks tavakasutajale suunatud erinevatele tarkvaraprojektidele proovitakse läbi ühisrahastusplatvormi Indiegogo leida ka vajalik ressurss, et välja tulla oma esimese riistvaraprojektiga – Tap it Music Pad.

“Tap it Music Pad on taskukohane ja lihtsasti kasutatav muusikaline kontroller, mis võimaldab lõppkasutajal erinevaid muusikalisi instrumente mängida ja neid ka salvestada,” lausus Gut Groove Labs’i asutaja ja tarkvara arendaja Rasmus Rattas, kelle sõnul turgu säärasele tootele oleks. “Muusikalised instrumendid nende klassikalises mõttes on võrdlemisi kallid ja olemasolevad kontrollerid suunatud eelkõige muusikaprodutsentidele, jäädes tavakasutajale liiga keeruliseks. Tap it Music Pad’iga üritame antud tühimikku täita, tuues tavakasutaja jaoks nii instrumendi hinna kui ka selle kasutamiseks vajalike oskuste “barjääri” nii madalale kui võimalik.”

Üks projekti osasid on ka koolidele välja saadetavate kontrollerite fond. “Tahame tuua rohkem noori muusika juurde ja ärgitada neid ka ise muusikat tegema. Fondi idee seisneb selles, et kogu fondi toetanud inimeste raha läheb koolidele ja teistele noorte organisatsioonidele tasuta välja saadetavate TiMP’ide kulude katteks. Koolid, kuhu seadmed välja saadetakse valitakse juhuslikkuse alusel nn. “valiku korvist”, kuhu saab iga fondi annetaja ja toetaja ühe nime lisada,” lausus Rattas.

Ühisrahastuse kampaania aadressil www.indiegogo.com/TapitMusicPad on aktiivne 25. oktoobrini. Juhul kui kogu summat kampaania lõppkuupäevaks kokku ei saada, laekub raha kõikidele toetajatele tagasi ja projekt ei realiseeru.

Loomisel on Higha Collection 7

Rakvere ja Lääne-Viru moodsat muusikat toetav ning levitav plaadimärk Lejal Genes tähistab 2012. aasta lõpus 15 aasta möödumist oma esimesest CD-väljaandest. 1997. aasta detsembris ilmunud kogumik “Higha Collection 1” pälvis ilmumise järgselt Eesti muusikaringkondades palju positiivset tagasisidet ning lõi soodsa pinnase märkimisväärsele arenguloole, mille tulemusel on tänaseks ilmunud juba ligi 60 plaati enam kui 700 looga.

Ajaloolise sündmuse tähistamiseks koostab Lejal Genes uue kogumiku “Higha Collection 7”, millele on omaltpoolt lugusid valmistamas sellised Rakvere päritolu muusikameistrid nagu Def Räädust tuntud Arian Levin ja Remi Prual (Gee), Öökülma taga seisvad Martin Tutt (Melkker) ja Mart Rauba (Lord), legendaarne Rakvere hiphop-produtsent Hannes Võrno (Hash), pika karjääriga arvutimuusikud Ragnar Veermäe (Jeffy Diamond), Taavi Kalvik, Tanel Leiner, Marko Kallaste (Van Small Step) ja teised.

Värskete loomepuhangute toetuseks kutsub Lejal Genes kõiki andekaid Rakvere ja Lääne-Viru artiste oma väljundiga samuti kogumikule kandideerima. Selleks tuleb saata oma lugu või lood ja lühike tutvustus lejalgenes@lejalgenes.ee aadressile hiljemalt 12. oktoobriks, kui enamus kogumikule kandideerivatest lugudest plaanitakse testimiseks publikule ette mängida Rakvere Teatrikohvikus toimuval “Lejal’Nyte” muusikaõhtul. Kõigile lugusid saatnud artistidele antakse plaadimärgi poolt ka lugude kohta tagasisidet ning parimad palad leiavad koha novembris CDna ilmuval “Higha Collection 7” kogumikul.
